Congrats to Bryan Gratton on being April’s athlete of the month!
How long have you be CrossFitting: I’ve been CrossFitting for the last 10 months…since June of 2018.
A little about yourself: I was a college athlete and haven’t done much other than play “old man soccer” once a week since my college days. I was looking for something fun, slightly competitive, but supportive and CrossFit checked all the boxes.
How did you get started in CrossFit: Ethan and I were in a networking group together and he invited to come check it out. My wife (Kristen) and I wanted to start in the summer when the kids were out of school so we didn’t have to worry about getting them on the bus. I have noticed so much improvement since that first class I went to, it’s really unbelievable how CrossFit has changed our lives!
How has CrossFit helped you outside the gym: CrossFit has made me a better soccer player, basketball player, as well as encouraged my kids to get more active. And it has allowed me to be more active with my kids. Also, my wife joined me in doing CrossFit and she is smokin’ hot with all her CrossFit muscles ☺!
What makes CrossFit Beyond Parallel special: The people. I call CFBP my gym family. They are so supportive and encouraging. The coaches are awesome! It’s just an all-around great atmosphere for getting yourself healthier and more active, no matter what your starting point is.
Any advice for someone looking to get started: Yes…Do it! No matter what your fitness level. Everything can be scaled and everyone is super supportive of you!
